Understated, and all the better for it.
A muted palette turns a classic still life into something that works in a contemporary room rather than reading as a period piece. Galleries Porcelain Petals Framed Textured Print 120x60cm arranges ivory toned blooms in rustic white vessels against a soft grey backdrop, hand embellished so the painterly detail sits physically on the canvas. That restrained cream, green and grey range keeps the composition calm. A grey coloured frame ties into the background. At 120x60cm the horizontal format suits above a sideboard or bed. It suits French provincial, Hamptons and classic country interiors.
