Handmade timber, honestly finished.
Buying handmade means accepting variation, and with reclaimed teak that variation is the appeal rather than a compromise. The Jai Single Vanity 900mm is made by hand in Indonesia from natural reclaimed teak, giving it a modern farmhouse character a uniform factory finish can't replicate. One generous drawer runs on full extension slides, with a fixed shelf beneath for the bulkier items. Reclaimed teak legs sit on adjustable levellers with plastic stoppers protecting the floor. No tapholes are pre drilled, so tap position is yours to choose, and the basin and tapware are purchased separately.

Because timber naturally expands and contracts over time you might experience a reduction in natural oils. To preserve the longevity of your vanity, we recommend using a wax or oil product to protect your vanity top. Sealed surfaces will be more easier to clean and maintain their beauty
Product Care
- Teak is an extremely durable hardwood, however our reclaimed teak vanity range is used in it’s raw form and some maintenance will be required.
- To maintain your vanities durability and longevity we recommend regular maintenance with a teak oil or teak sealer to maintain your investment. A good option is applying 50:50 boiled linseed oil and mineral turps.
- Re-apply the sealer or oil every 1-2 years or as needed to maintain the wood's protection and appearance. A teak sealer also helps prevent food stains or water marks appearing.
- To remove stubborn stains, sand with a fine grade of sandpaper making sure to work with the direction of the grain. You should not use much force. Afterwards rinse off the vanity with water, pat the wood dry with a towel or dry cloth. You may then seal it with a teak oil/sealer.
- If mildew develops the timber will turn black, this forms on the surface and isn’t detrimental to the timber. This can be scrubbed using a mild detergent and warm water mix. For more stubborn mould all major hardware stores sell a full range of mould removing products.
- Take care not to let water pool on your bathroom vanity for too long which can cause water damage. Try to wipe up spills and water immediately followed by a dry cloth. Wiping down your vanity with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth is recommended for general cleaning.
- Avoid soap or a liquid hand soap bottle and any oil-based moisturiser bottles sitting directly on the surface of your reclaimed teak vanity.
- Avoid placing very hot items on the vanity top such as hair straighteners as this can burn the timber.
- Regularly wipe it down with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and water spots.
- Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials, which can damage the wood's finish.
- For stubborn stains, a mild soap solution can be used.
- Avoid placing the vanity in direct sunlight, as it can cause fading and discoloration.
- Use a small soft brush to clean cabinet corners and handles.
