Open wire that plays with light and shadow.
An open wire frame does something a solid shade never can, casting patterned shadows across the ceiling and walls once the globe is on. The Orbit Metal Wire Pendant Black 55x48x25cm builds on that with a flowing, organic wire form in a black finish, so the fitting reads as sculpture as much as lighting. At 55cm it has enough scale to work above a dining table or entryway while the open construction keeps the look uncluttered in smaller rooms. Because the globe is visible through the frame, a decorative filament or LED globe adds noticeably to the effect. It arrives requiring no assembly and takes one E27 globe.
