Oak from the benchtop right down.
Running one timber from top to bottom gives a piece a warmth that mixing materials interrupts. The Oakford Workbench with Oak Timber Top does that, with oak forming both the benchtop and the body beneath, finished in clear nitrocellulose lacquer so the grain stays visible throughout. Storage is the same generous arrangement as its granite topped counterpart: two enclosed cupboards, two drawers and four open cavities with seagrass baskets. A timber benchtop is warmer underhand than stone, which some people prefer for everyday use. At 1680mm it's a full sized island. Other sizes and a granite top version are available. Some assembly is required.

Product Care
Timber Care
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth.
- Occasional application of a natural-based furniture polish is recommended.
- Do not use silicone-based products or other abrasive cleaners.
- Because of the natural movement of the timber, it must be expected that the wood will slightly change shape due to variations in humidity and temperature, depending on the conditions of your home.
- Therefore, care should be taken to avoid extreme heat conditions, moisture, and light, as this can cause the wood to swell, shrink or start to show signs of cracking.
- We recommend the use of the Guardsman Wood Care kits, to help maintain the beautiful appearance of the timber for longer
Assembly
The heart of your home is nearly ready, once you've got it all asembled. Assembly ranges from something as easy as attaching the handles, through to flat-pack assembly, which takes a little longer. For any plumbing or electrical work, we recommend installation is carried out by a qualified tradesperson. And if you get stuck or just need a hand, click the start chat link and the team will be happy to help.
Please note: if any assembly times are listed, they're estimates and may vary from person to person.
