Somewhere proper for the wine to live.
Wine stored upright dries the cork, which is why a proper rack lays bottles on their side. The Oakford Workbench With Wine Rack, Granite Top builds one into a compact island, alongside a drawer, a cupboard and side rails for hanging tea towels and utensils. A grey granite benchtop gives a hard preparation surface above an oak and pine body in clear nitrocellulose lacquer. At 950mm it's the shorter Oakford bench, which suits a kitchen where the full sized version won't fit but you still want the storage. Other sizes and an oak top version are available. Some assembly is required.

Product Care
- Granite is porous and stains easily, so wipe off any spills immediately.
- Clean the surface regularly with fresh warm water and a non-abrasive clean cloth.;
- A non-abrasive, neutral (pHbalanced) cleaner will help remove dirt and grime, but is recommended that you first try warm water only, then use a cleaner only if necessary.
- The granite top has been sealed as part of the manufacturing process. The sealer acts as an inhibitor and prevents most stains and soil from being absorbed into the porous surface, but it is not a guarantee against staining. All spills should be cleaned immediately.
- We recommend customers re-seal the granite top every year with a good quality granite sealer. Follow the instructions on the sealer container for application and frequency of use.
- If the granite is well-sealed, the warm water and non-abrasive cloth should keep it clean.
- To protect the surface, avoid contact with all oils and petroleum-based products. Also avoid contact with all acid or caustic products, such as vinegar, citrus or fruit juices, soda, chlorine, and nail polish remover.
- Placing protective pads on the bottom of any heavy objects will help prevent scratching of the granite surface. Periodically rotate accessories on granite so that they don't sit in the same spot for an extended period of time.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth.
- Occasional application of a natural-based furniture polish is recommended.
- Do not use silicone-based products or other abrasive cleaners.
- Because of the natural movement of the timber, it must be expected that the wood will slightly change shape due to variations in humidity and temperature, depending on the conditions of your home.
- Therefore, care should be taken to avoid extreme heat conditions, moisture, and light, as this can cause the wood to swell, shrink or start to show signs of cracking.
- We recommend the use of the Guardsman Wood Care kits, to help maintain the beautiful appearance of the timber for longer
